20i year in review: A look back at 2024

Throughout 2024, we’ve introduced a huge range of new products, features and upgrades to enhance your services.

A lot of these have come directly from your feedback, so please keep them coming. Every feedback form is read by our directors, and many are moved on to our development timeline.

We’ve also won some awards.

Here’s a look back at some of the key developments in 2024…

Sell High-frequency hosting

Sell high-frequency hosting to your customers, at an amazing price, with the new Website Turbo add-on.

High-Frequency Hosting uses state-of-the-art servers, with high-frequency CPUs built to handle complex tasks and process large volumes of data simultaneously.

GitHub Integration

Our Git Version Control now integrates directly with GitHub, allowing users to sign in with their GitHub accounts to view repositories and clone data to our platform, streamlining development workflows.

Customer Handoff

This great time-saving feature enables agencies, designers, and developers to transfer management of hosting services directly to clients through My20i, simplifying client handovers.

No more messing around with manual data transfer, FTP, MySQL databases, ZIP files or DNS. Plus, you’ll receive a £/$25 commission from us when a service you handoff is renewed.

Handoff seamlessly passes ownership of a hosting package directly to your client’s own 20i account, with out any downtime or data loss.

Enhanced Inter-Customer Transfers

We expanded the available transfer options, allowing Cloud Servers on 20iCloud, AWS, and GCP platforms to be transferred between 20i users, facilitating greater flexibility.

Agency Hub

Use Agency Hub to manage all your cloud servers, clients, billing and projects from a single, intuitive dashboard.

Plus, Agency Hub users automatically get up to 30% off the price of our domain names as well!

Agency Hub is completely free for all 20i Managed Hosting customers with unlimited usage.

New and refreshed white-label copy

We had a major rewrite of the white-label sales copy we provide to help our Resellers get started, as well as brand-new Website Turbo white-label copy to quickly set up selling high-frequency hosting to your customers.

Domain Renewal Consolidation

Streamline domain management with our brand new ‘Domain Renewal Consolidation’. 

Once enabled, we’ll consolidate renewal dates for all domain names expiring within a month of your chosen date. 

This ensures they renew on the same day and combined into a single invoice, making renewals easier to manage. Go to Account Preferences in My20i to enable.

Automated Blueprint Hosting Packages

WordPress Blueprints are a great time saving tool for our resellers, speeding up the process of deploying WordPress hosting and launching sites.

When assigning a WordPress Blueprint to a hosting package type; your pre-configured WordPress settings, plug-ins and themes are used as the starting point for the new website.

By not having to spend time configuring themes and plugins the same way over and over again – you can turnover WordPress sites and hosting packages far more efficiently.

StackCP User date & time preferences

You can now set default date and time preferences for your StackCP Users. Head over to https://my.20i.com/reseller/reseller-customisation to get things configured.

NodeJS Optimised Cloud Servers

Deploy your NodeJS optimised cloud servers across our high-performance 20iCloud, AWS & GCP platforms.

We’ve also added the popular NodeJS based CMS Strapi as a one-click install.

Quickly Find Large Files In File Manager

To help you to find large files, our File Manager can now search based on a minimum file size, i.e., any file greater than X-MB.

When managing a hosting package; open File Manager and click the hamburger in the top right.

Then click the magnifying glass and you will see the toggle to switch between Name and Size.

Re-Order White Label Support Database Categories

We’ve added new functionality for you to re-order the White Label Support Database categories  via an easy to use drag and drop system in My20i. 

Resellers also now have the option to turn-off/on specific support articles in the White Label Support Database. Previously it was only possible to disable/enable the entire category. Go here to disable/enable support articles (as well as create your own).

WordPress Manager Auto-Purge Cache

When a Plugin or Theme is updated via WordPress Manager, a Cache Purge request is now fired off to ensure there’s no stale cache preventing updates from showing on your live site.

Free Web Hosting HTML/CSS Template

Launch your own web hosting brand in style, with our free web hosting HTML/CSS template; Izhosts. If you’re a 20i Reseller, the template is available for you to activate as your Hostshop theme in My20i. 

StackCP user list views

The StackCP Users list now shows the numbers of Domains and Cloud Servers that are assigned to each StackCP User – these can be toggled on/off from the Columns option.

My20i Mail Logs

The My20i/StackCP Mail Logs now show bounced, failed and rejected emails (previously only showing successfully sent or received emails).

To view the reports go to Manage Hosting > Options > Manage > Logs & Stats. Customers can now select the delivery status of the emails via the mail logs tool.

The UI has also been tidied up to ensure better usability on mobile and with dark mode.

Single Sign-On (SSO) in My20i for Microsoft & Google Accounts

Simplify your login process, using your corporate Microsoft or Google accounts to access My20i. This Single Sign-On (SSO) feature streamlines password management, making it easier for your organization to manage access for employees and contractors. Read our SSO set up guide

20iCDN supports OCSP stapling

Content served with an SSL Certificate through the 20i CDN now receives a signed OCSP response as part of the initial SSL/TLS handshake. This means even faster load times for anyone using a browser that supports OCSP stapling. Note: This feature is automatically enabled.

NET Core Cloud Server app auto-detect

We’ve added a new tool for .NET Core Cloud Servers. Automatically scan your web space to identify .NET Core apps. Once detected, it registers these apps, making it easier for you to manage and interact with them. Go to: Manage Hosting > Click ‘Options’ next to your .NET Core Cloud Server > Manage.

HostShop

We made numerous improvements to HostShop this year, here are just a sample:

• Show Monthly Equivalent Pricing: A new pricing view has been added to HostShop: “Advertise Monthly Equivalent Price”. Discounts are often applied to services when purchased on a yearly basis. Showing the monthly equivalent price and yearly price together better demonstrates the savings a customer can enjoy.

• Payment Frequency at Checkout: Customers can now select their preferred payment frequency during checkout, enhancing flexibility.

• Order WordPress Hosting: As WordPress continues to be an industry leader in terms of popularity, we have streamlined the process of adding WordPress hosting for your customers by including a dedicated “Order WordPress Hosting” icon in StackCP. The icon displays if the “Split WordPress package from other hosting” option is enabled.

• Managed Cloud Hosting as a category: Managed Cloud Hosting now appears as its own separate category in HostShop, giving you more control over how you make this line of products available to your customers.

• ‘Build Server’ page in StackCP/HostShop can now be accessed by non-logged in users: Use our new URL builder to take your customers directly to the ‘Build Cloud Server’ page with pre-configured Cloud Server specification, including Size, Optimization, Location, Provider and with or without Timeline Backups.

• Razorpay: In response to overwhelming customer feedback, India’s largest payment gateway Razorpay, is now available to activate in HostShop.

• Currency Payment Gateways And Pricing: Pick and choose which currencies and payment gateway combinations are available to your customers For example: set USD payments to be accepted by Bank Transfer, INR to Razorpay and Stripe for GBP. You can also set pricing to account for any fees involved with payment gateways and exchange rates.

• Invoice Email Additional Recipients: StackCP users can now add Additional Recipients to their invoice emails ensuring accounting depts/relevant teams get the information they need asap.
