Tell us a bit about yourself, who are you, and what do you do?

I’m Stephen Robinson, CEO of Outrank . We’re a team of digital marketing specialists focused on helping SMEs grow online. Our goal is simple: get businesses in front of their ideal customers and drive real, measurable results.

And then there’s Ozzy the Otter, our accidental yet much-loved mascot. He started as a placeholder image during our website redesign and somehow became part of our identity. Now, he’s a symbol of everything Outrank stands for, energy, adaptability, and an unstoppable drive.

What does Outrank specialise in? Do you work with any particular type of business?

We focus on local SME marketing, helping businesses dominate their markets and scale nationally. Whether it’s SEO, PPC, or web design, we build strategies that don’t just look good on paper but actually deliver results.

What’s the secret to your success?

It comes down to three things, our people, our culture, and our ability to adapt.

Digital marketing moves fast, and we thrive on staying ahead. We’re always testing, refining, and pushing boundaries to make sure our clients stay ahead of the competition.

What do you love most about what you do? Do you have a favourite project?

Watching small businesses go from struggling to thriving because of our work that’s what drives us.

We’ve worked on so many brilliant projects, but the best ones are always the businesses that started with no online presence and are now industry leaders. Seeing that transformation never gets old.

What challenges is Outrank facing, and how are you tackling them?

Scaling quickly is always a challenge. Managing over 800 websites means we need an infrastructure that can keep up.

Just like Ozzy the Otter, who went from a forgotten placeholder to a core part of our brand, Outrank is growing into something bigger. We’re ready to make waves.

Any advice for web designers and marketing professionals?

Keep it simple. You won’t always get it right, but what matters is showing up, working hard, and staying adaptable. The people who succeed aren’t the ones looking for shortcuts, they’re the ones willing to learn and keep going.
