What kind of sites can use the .info domain name?
Any sites! Although bear in mind, if someone is searching for information, they may not necessarily be looking to buy that thing, so we’d recommend being cautious for using it for commercial purposes.
But that’s up to you: it’s an unrestricted domain, so it can be used for any purpose.
How do I transfer my .info domain to save on renewals?
It’s easy to transfer a .com domain to 20i. You will need to get the domain name authorisation code from your current provider. Then, you need to search for it in our ‘Transfer a domain’ tool in our control panel, My20i. You can then start the transfer, which can take up to five days (but your website will remain online). You’ll be charged a transferral fee, but you’ll get one year’s registration.

Will I get a free year for transferring a .info domain?
You won’t lose any time already paid for on your .info domain by transferring to 20i and once the domain transfer has completed you’ll get an additional year applied for free!
Do you do discounts in the first year?
No: with 20i, what you pay in the first year is the same price as renewal. That way, you can make savings of up to 50% compared to other domain name registrars, so you save money in the long term.
