Are there many .tv domains left?
Yes: as it’s relatively new, there are plenty of options. It’s perfect for a site with lots of moving images.
How do I transfer my .tv domain to 20i?
To transfer a .tv domain to us, you’ll need to get the domain name authorisation code from your current provider.
Then, you need to search for it in our ‘Transfer a domain’ tool in our control panel, My20i. You can then start the transfer, which can take up to five days (usually less, and your website will remain online). For further information about all domain transfers, please see How do I transfer my domain to you? Move today and start saving!
Should I register other versions of my .tv domain name?
That’s up to you, but to be safe and protect your brand, we’d recommend buying other versions of your company name with different popular top-level domains.
For example, if you had the yourcompany.tv web address, a competitor or criminal could buy yourcompany.to. They could use it to compete, or even worse: fool your customers into being scammed.
But it’s also worth noting that a .tv domain is very memorable, so it may not be as susceptible to imitation compared to some others.
